    On the brink of war is an exhibition developed by Greve museum. Interactive Spaces Lab delivered three permanent interactive installations.

The exhibition On the Brink of War – Neutrality between Warfare and Welfare can be explored throughout the year at the museum, Mosede Fort, in Denmark. It shows how the daily life of the Danes was affected by the World War, and how the government, business community and general population upheld Denmark’s neutrality through the four years of war.

In the Eye of the Hurricane One of the installations developed for the purpose is placed in room number 2 and is called "In the Eye of the Hurricane". The idea was to give the visitors an experience at an early stage in the exhibition, which could be felt in their stomachs. The war is raging in Europe, and in Denmark we are nervously waiting for something to happen. Visitors can tread on a map of Europe that fills the entire room, and marked points give visitors the opportunity to activate films and sounds from places which have hosted historic battles in the period between 1914-18. The more visitors who enter the room, the greater universe of sound and visual effects will be activated. The Interactive Table The second installation is a 3x5 metre interactive landscape model, which displays a three-dimensional version of the local area around Mosede Fort. Here the visitors can explore different layers of information through play either alone or in groups. By using the on and off buttons you can select whether you want to learn more about the location of the galleries, the shooting range of the cannons, etc. You may also zoom into a selected area by activating a digital "torch" where you can control the focus of the torch in real time with your finger.
