    PIXLdance is an installation developed by Interactive Spaces Lab, in dialogue with The Musicon Secretary in Roskilde and young people from the area. The project is funded by Realdania and Lokale- & Anlægsfonden. The project was a part of the larger initiative En god omvej.

Your body controls the soundscape!

PIXLPARK were a interactive square build in the creative area Musicon in Roskilde with focus on movements and play through physical and digital elements. We contributed to the overall concept development of PIXLPARK that were running for four years with interactive elements, movement, fun and exciting experiences.

PIXLdance was one of the 2 main installations. The other one was called PIXLswing, and was a further development of the installation SwingScape, that Interactive Spaces Lab developed in collaboration with Roskilde Music Festival.

PIXLdance is a sound and light installation, which is being activated through movements. The installation is formed as a cube and it invites the users to use their body for activating a different soundscape and reward the active users with unique experiences. An important element in the concept was to make exciting experiences for both users and people watching, and users who came alone or in groups - they were all a part of one big installation. As a part of testing phase the installation was put up at Roskilde Festival 2011, where the atmospheric univers of the installation were changing throughout the day.
